The blade has been constructed from hardened 1045 carbon steel. The blade comes sharp. The saya is wooden with a black Matte finish and black cotton sageo. The habaki is brass. Cast Metal fittings in black finish. The ito is black cotton with alternating cross overs over real ray skin samegawa. The tang is pinned with bamboo mekugi.

40.5" Overall with a 26" sharpened, hand forged, high carbon steel blade with simulated temper line. Faux ivory handle in the shape of a dragon, full tang and pegged construction with grey finish metal fittings, black lacquer finish saya, nice item.
40.50" Overall with a 28.3" sharpened, hand forged, high carbon steel blade with 7mm thick spine. Full tang, double pegged with horimono dragon engraved on the blade.
